international Key Club International is the oldest, largest, and most successful non-profit student-led organization for high school students. We teach and spread our core values through community service: caring, character-building, inclusiveness, and leadership which were adopted by our Key Club International Board in 2002. Members of Key Club, a part of the community-service based Kiwanis International Family, develop themselves into young leaders as they positively impact their schools and communities.
Today, Key Club exists on almost 5,000 high school campuses, 31 different countries, primarily in the United States and Canada. It has also grown internationally to the Caribbean nations, Central and South America, and most recently to Asia and Australia. With over 12 million hours of community service a year, Key Club International has truly made an impact on the countless lives throughout the world. |
UNIVERSITY CItY key club
Founded January 12, 1982, one year after the school opened, University City Key Club has been serving the greater San Diego County for over 3o years. Although there is no denying its turbulent history, the club has contributed tens of thousands of volunteer service to various organizations benefiting causes such as the Arthritis Foundation, Friends of Rose Canyon, and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The club has worked extensively with its home school, University City High School, as well as its surrounding neighbors Curie Elementary School and Standley Middle School on the improvement of the community as a whole. At the moment, the club has 97 official paid members- each as passionate, dedicated, and hard-working as those who came before them. With service projects held almost every week, University City Key Club stays true to its motto, "Caring-Our way of life."
